About the Vitaran Eye Booster
If you’ve ever been told you look tired when you don’t feel it, you’re not alone. The skin under your eyes is some of the thinnest on your face, so it’s often the first place to show fine lines, dryness and dark circles. Concealer and eye creams can only do so much.
The Vitaran Eye Booster works beneath the surface to improve the quality of your skin itself. It uses VITARAN Eyes, a polynucleotide treatment made specifically for the under-eye area. Polynucleotides encourage your skin to repair and renew, boost its natural collagen and hold on to moisture, so the area looks smoother, brighter and more refreshed. What happens at your appointment?
Your practitioner will cleanse and prepare your skin, then make a series of tiny injections across the under-eye area using a very fine needle. Numbing cream can be applied first to keep you comfortable. The treatment usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes, so it fits easily into your day.
How many sessions will I need?
The Vitaran Eye Booster works best as a course, with results building after each session. How many sessions you need and how far apart they are depends on your skin and goals, and your practitioner will plan this with you at your consultation.
How long can results last?
Because the treatment improves the quality of your skin, results build gradually and settle naturally. As a general guide:
- Within a couple of weeks: many clients notice their under-eyes look more hydrated, smoother and firmer.
- Across your course: results continue to develop as your skin produces new collagen.

How long does the Vitaran Eye Booster last?
Results vary from person to person. After your initial course, a top-up session every 6 to 12 months can help keep your under-eyes looking their best. Your practitioner will plan your course and maintenance with you at your consultation.
Is it the same as filler?
No. Filler adds volume to change shape or fill hollows. The Vitaran Eye Booster improves the quality of your skin itself, so your under-eyes look smoother, brighter and more hydrated without any change to your features.
Is it really made from salmon DNA?
Yes. Polynucleotides are made from highly purified fragments of salmon trout DNA, refined to a medical standard. VITARAN is CE marked and registered with the MHRA. Because of its source, the treatment isn’t suitable if you have a fish allergy.
Does it hurt?
Most clients find it very manageable. You may feel a small scratch or slight pressure during the injections, and numbing cream can be applied beforehand to keep you comfortable.
Let your practitioner know about any allergies, including to fish or local anaesthetics, before treatment.
Are there any side effects?
You may notice some redness, slight swelling or minor bruising, along with small raised bumps where the injections were made. These are normal and usually settle within a few hours to a couple of days. Infection or allergic reactions are also possible, particularly if aftercare is not followed.
You’ll leave with clear aftercare advice and contact details. Seek medical advice for unusual or worsening pain or swelling, or any changes to your vision after treatment.
When will I see results, and can I carry on as normal?
Many clients notice their under-eyes looking more hydrated, smoother and brighter within a couple of weeks, with results continuing to build across the course.
Downtime is minimal, so you can usually get straight back to your day. Your practitioner will give you personalised aftercare, including advice on makeup, alcohol, sun and heat, such as saunas, in the days after treatment.
